Functional nutrition looks beyond symptoms to understand why they’re happening. It takes a whole-body approach by exploring factors like nutrition, lifestyle, stress, digestion, sleep, and overall health to uncover the root cause of imbalance.
-

The Functional Clinical Assessment is one of the FNTP's tools for evaluating their clients' health and is used as part of ongoing support plans for our clients. Using the innate connection between the nerve endings at skin level and the body's internal organs or direct communication with the clients Biofield, FNTP's can determine where dysfunction in the body is occurring. This unique set of skills allows FNTP's to truly create bio individual protocols and support for healing and reconnecting the client back to themselves.
-
Rather than simply looking for values that fall outside standard ranges, Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis examines blood work through a functional lens to identify patterns and subtle imbalances that may be contributing to your symptoms and overall health.
While this is offered as service at Innate Wellness, we believe connecting to the body’s innate intelligence to understand your body’s priority – your body is smarter than any bloodwork. Within each of us lies a powerful self-healing mechanism, ready to be activated with the right tools to restore health.
-
Everyone's healing journey is different. Some clients notice improvements within a few weeks, while others experience gradual changes over several months. The goal is to create sustainable, long-term improvements rather than quick fixes.

No. Nutritional Therapy is not designed to treat any specific disease or medical condition. A Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is trained to evaluate your nutritional needs and make recommendations of dietary change and nutritional supplements, not medical diagnoses or prescriptions. No comment or recommendation from your FNTP should be construed as a medical diagnosis or prescription.
If you suffer from a medical or pathological condition, you need to consult with an appropriate healthcare provider. An FNTP is not a substitute for your family physician or other appropriate healthcare provider. A Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is not trained nor licensed to diagnose or treat pathological conditions, illnesses, injuries, or diseases or prescribe medications. Health conditions related to medical interventions are considered to be out of the scope of FNTPs.
If you are under the care of another healthcare provider, it is important that you contact your other healthcare providers and alert them to your use of nutritional supplements. Nutritional Therapy may be a beneficial adjunct to more traditional care, and it may also alter your need for medication, so it is important you always keep your physician informed of changes in your nutritional program. If you are using medications of any kind, you are required to alert the FNTP to such use, as well as to discuss any potential interactions between medications and nutritional products with your pharmacist. If you have any physical or emotional reaction to Nutritional Therapy, discontinue their use immediately, and contact your FNTP to ascertain if the reaction is adverse or an indication of the natural course of the body's adjustment to the therapy.

My Journey To Healing
When I first started working with Simran, I was constantly navigating the unpredictable flare-ups. Relying on daily medications felt like my only option for keeping my body under control, and fluctuating energy levels and moods made each day a challenge.
Through her personalized, targeted approach to nutrition, we worked step-by-step to address systemic inflammation and bring real stability back to my body. Over time, the transformation went far beyond my physical symptoms. My energy levels increased, my mood improved, and I reached a major milestone: I was able to safely stop taking my medications while remaining healthy, strong, and balanced.
What truly sets her apart, however, is her holistic support. She has been far more than a nutritionist—she became my steady support system and ultimate cheerleader. Whether through regular check-ins or continuous encouragement during tough days, her genuine care made all the difference. I am deeply grateful for her expertise, compassion, and dedication to helping me reclaim my health and quality of life.

Reconnecting with my body
The FCA/LNT session helped me understand my body better, how it responds to different foods, what it needs, and how my daily habits might be affecting the way I feel.
One of the things I really appreciated about the experience was that it encouraged me to look at my own patterns rather than simply follow general nutrition advice. Through the questionnaires, I was able to reflect more closely on my eating habits, how I felt after certain foods, my energy levels, and the ways my diet might be affecting my body. The pressure points and scaling were also interesting because they gave me another way to check in with my body and become more aware of how I was feeling physically. Having these different tools helped me understand that everyone’s body can respond differently, and that paying attention to those individual responses is really important.
By paying attention to my eating patterns and the effects afterwards, I noticed better digestion and fewer food-related reactions. Instead of simply thinking about whether a food was considered “healthy” or “unhealthy,” I started thinking more about whether it actually worked well for my body.
What I appreciated most about the FCA/LNT experience was that it helped me understand my body on a more individual level, and make meaningful changes.

Listening to my body
Simran has done wonders for my health. Before working with her, I suffered with migraines for 10 years. By optimizing my food and lifestyle I have safely gone off taking daily medication. I am now thriving. My energy, mental clarity and mood is so much better than it was before. I still can’t believe that doing the simple things and listening to my body is all it takes.
Simran’s approach is to listen to your body. She taught me how to listen to my body and give myself the nutrients my body needs. My learning journey had its ups and downs as I got to know myself better. Simran kept me on track and helped me understand the different signals my body was giving me.
I never knew I could be so in tune with my body. I’m thankful for everything I’ve learned.
